Experience

Louis has over 42 years of land surveying experience. His work began with his military service in the United States Army. He was an instructor at the U.S. Army Engineer School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where he taught topographic surveying and spent the year of 1969 in Vietnam as a topographic surveyor. Following his service in the Army, Louis worked for the Department of Natural Resources as a Forest Engineer, Land Surveyor, and Forester. In 1979, Louis joined Crossman & Associates as a Professional Land Surveyor.

Following his time at Crossman, Louis, along with his partner John L. Abenroth, became the principals of Skagit Surveyors & Engineers. In the 38 years Louis has been with Skagit Surveyors, he has supervised all types of projects and land use issues. Since the late 1980's Louis has focused on client contacts, estimating, quality control and permit acquisition for projects of all types.

Experience

John has over 45 years of land surveying experience. His work experience began with the Washington State Department of Transportation, which started with an intensive three month study program at the University of Washington. While there, he focused on route surveying, design, and materials quality control. In his 12 years with the WSDOT, John worked in highway engineering on highway design and construction preparing plans as well as specifications and estimates.

Following his time with WSDOT, he was employed with McKay and Sposito, a surveying & engineering firm in Kennewick, Washington. In 1977, John joined Crossman & Associates, the predecessor to Skagit Surveyors. John, along with his partner Louis H. Requa, are the principals of Skagit Surveyors & Engineers. As a principal with Skagit, he has supervised all types of survey projects.

Marianna Manville-Ailes is a Senior Planner for Skagit Surveyors & Engineers. She has 26 years of experience in the public and private sector planning including: Land use planning, Land Development Consulting & Site Planning, Environmental analyses i, e, SEPA & NRPS, Land use analyses, Comprehensive Plan and Subarea Plan preparation, and more.


Mike Mellott – Associate Surveyor

Mike has been with Skagit Surveyors & Engineers since 1978. He works both in the office, and in the field, mainly as field survey party chief.
